Hendrix played the very last show at Woodstock. He insisted on being the final performer and was scheduled to perform Sunday at midnight. Jimi performed with his band Gypsy Sun and Rainbows, not with the Jimi Hendrix Experience that original Woodstock promoters stated. Bassist Billy Cox (who would later be part of the Band of Gypsies group that Hendrix debuted a few months after Woodstock), drummer Mitch Mitchell (from The Experience), guitarist Larry Lee and two percussionists performed with Hendrix during the festival and Hendrix's Woodstock group was the largest band he had ever performed with. I could easily be wrong here but I thought the first person to play a memorable version of Star Spangled Banner was Jimmi Hendrix at Woodstock.

Yes, his White Fender Stratocaster used at Woodstock is at the EMP (Experience Music Project) museum in Seattle, Washington. I have seen it myself. There are many other Hendrix memorabilia there.
