Argon gas would increase the insulation value of the glass, some sun spaces especially those with glass ceilings have as problem of getting too hot. Low e coating would reduce the amount of sunlight coming through the windows. The book THE SOLAR HOUSE recommends no low e coating on the south side of solar houses.
