Your wisdom teeth "may" become abscess, which, could "delay" your operation to have them removed. Many doctors will not operate to remove teeth that are abscess, UNTIL after the swelling has gone done, which can take up to 10 days....

∙ 9y agoThe only effect that smoking has on tooth extraction is afterwards. If you smoke or suck on a straw, you could end up with a dry socket which is very painful and hard to treat.
