Probably abandonment, since most N women can't see passed their own nose to show any true empathy, or compassion. I suspect in most cases they have trouble connecting with their own children, so why would you expect them to be different with their grandchildren. I speak from a experience. I had two grandmothers like this.
Years of therapy and constant self-evaluation has helped a little bit, but you still feel the sting of the emotional and physical abandonment left by these types of family members. They're supposed to love you unconditionally and be there but that concept does not register within their realities.
If you were raised by this mother, there's a strong probability that you have similar tendencies. Be sure to always check yourself, so that you don't impose the same curse onto your own children.
