Light bulbs. The filament in the bulb is heated in order for it to glow and produce light. This can be considered as a conversion of energy where heat energy is being transferred in light energy.
Electrical energy could be produced from so many energy. Solar energy. This would help some voltaic cells to produce some potential difference which in turn would drive current when it is connected to an external device. Chemical energy. As we use cells, there chemical energy with its tendency such oxidising etc would create an emf between the terminals of the cell. Hence current flows as we connect the terminals to a device. Magnetic energy. Using magnetic energy and mechanical energy emf is produced as the magnetic flux linked with the coil changes. This is known as phenomenon of electromagnetic induction. Once again using thermal energy, by maintaining the junctions of thermocouples at two different temperatures, thermo emf will be produced.
cell phone
When a photon strikes a solar cell it bounces off. In Physics, a photon is an elementary particle, the quantum of the electromagnetic interaction and the basic unit of light and all other forms of electromagnetic radiation.
Iron, copper wire and dry cell batteries
Depends on what kind of cell phone, and what kind of effect you're referring to. If the cell phone uses integrated circuitry, a strong enough electromagnetic field could fry the circuits themselves (but that would require an electromagnetic pulse emission somewhere near the size of a nuclear bomb's). An a highly electromagnetic field could also affect a cell phone if the phone relies on a magnetic hard-drive. Almost all computers rely on magnetic hard-drives these days, which is why it is strongly suggested that you do NOT put magnets anywhere near computers, as it would mess around the hard drive.
Cell Respiration
Electrical wiring with current flowing through it produces an electromagnetic field. That magnetic field can interfere with other electromagnetic radiation, such as the radio signal that are produced and received by a cellular phone.
