Both those wavelengths are in the infrared range, but... I think the question itself got garbled somewhere along the way, because if it said ten-millionths instead of millionths, that would be 700 nm - 400 nm ... just about exactly the range of wavelengths for visible light. In contrast, 7 micrometers and 4 micrometers are more or less random wavelengths in the IR range (which goes from about 0.7 micrometers all the way up to 100 micrometers).

What wave is detected by the ear?

I'm assuming by "waves" you mean "electromagnetic waves," since there are ocean waves and a few other waves that we can see too. We can also perceive sound waves, but cannot see them. The electromagnetic waves that we can see are called the "visibile lights." Their wavelength range from about 760 nm( 760*10^-9 m), bright red, to about 390 nm, bright violet. Their frequency range from about 4*10^14 Hz to 7.9*10^14 Hz, respectively. Infrared and Ultraviolet are NOT a part of visible light. No he means waves in the sea

What are facts about electromagnetic energy?

1. Electromagnetic radiation Causes electric and magnetic energy 2. First discovered by a Danish phisisist Hans Christian Orsted 3. There are 9 types of waves 4. The longest wave is over 100 km

What EM wave is produced by electromagnetic oscillators at low frequencies by accelerating electrons in an electronic circuit Select your answer. 1 radio waves 2 gamma rays 3 infrared radiation 4 ultr?

What are all the types waves?

They all carry some sort of energy.Three types of mechanical waves are transverse, longitudinal, & surface waves. M Some different types of waves are: light, sound, and seismic. Waves can be classified as mechanical or electromagnetic, and transverse or longitudinal. There are many other types of waves depending...TYPES OF BREAKING WAVES: 1.Spilling Breakers 2.Plunging 3.Surging 4.Collapsing 5.Mathematicsyes it is true for all waves.

Writing four millionths?

Four millionths is: 4/1,000,000 or .000004

How do you write .000004?

4 millionths

What is 120 millionths of a meter in standard form?

Not sure what you mean by "standard form"; one way to write this is as 120 µm.

How do you write 4 and 374 millionths in standard form?

4 and 374 millionths (4.000374) in standard form is 4.000374 × 100

How do you write 4 and 374 millionths?

4.000374

Is a meter stick or a 50 m tape better to measure a gym?

The 50 meter tape would be better as the margin of error would be smaller. example: if each measurement you take is off by 4 millionths of a meter by using the meter stick to measure a 100 meter length your measurement will be off by as much as 4 ten-thousanths of a meter or 0.40 millimeters whereas the 50 meter tape measurements will be off only 8 millionths of a meter or 0.008 millimeters.

How do you write 135 millionths in standard form?

135 millionths = 0.000135 = 1.35 x 10-4 in standard form.

What is seven hundred millionths in scientific notation?

One millionth is 0.000001, so 700 millionths is 0.000700 or 0.0007, so in scientific notation 700 millionths is: 7.0 * 10^-4 .

What is one hundred six millionths in standard form?

One hundred six millionths (0.000106) in standard form is 1.06 × 10-4
