it is the rare earth element cerium
Lanthanum is used in flints for lighters
the scientists can synthesize a transmutation element by artificial transmutation of a lighter element
Because Europium is fairly difficult to obtain it has few practical uses. Europium is unique in the fact that it can absorb more neutrons per atom then any other element. Thus making Europium and its isotopes very valuable in control rods of nuclear reactors. Like many other transition metals Europium is used in producing certain alloys, including striker and lighter flints. It's also been used in the creation of infrared absorbing automotive glass. Europium's compound, Europium Oxide, is often used as a phosphor activator. Europium's other two roles are also involved with phosphors. Europium is used in the production of phosphors for the creation of small lasers. But perhaps what Europium is known best for is the production of the red phosphors that are found in all color television screens.
The process in which a new lighter element is created by the release of an alpha ray particle from an atomic nucleus is called alpha decay of the original nucleus.

It is Lanthanum
strontium

If you buy the lighter, it comes with the case (the outer part of the lighter), the lighter (the inner piece where the wick comes out of the chimney), one wick, one flint, and the filler material that you put fluid onto. You can also purchase kist that come with spare wicks, flints, and a can of Zippo brand fluid. When I bought mine they did not offer the kits, so I bought the lighter, some fluid, some wicks, and some flints and it was under $40 for the whole mess.
Flint is used to produce sparks to ignite powder.
Ferocerium, which is a alloy composing of 19% Iron, 38% Cerium, 22% Lanthanum, 4% Neodymium, 4% Praseodymium and 4% Magnesium
The element that is used in the Goodyear blimp and other dirigibles is helium. This gas is lighter than air and causes the blimp to rise.
hope not. mine in the 70's operated just like a zippo. liquid fuel and flints, available in tobacco shops
A compound is not lighter than an element, if that element is part of the compound. Some compounds, like H2O would be lighter than, say, the element lead, but it is not lighter than the elements that make it up, i.e. hydgrogen and/or oxygen.
The one thing you'll need to buy before using it is lighter fluid. Zippo lighters come empty and you'll need to fill it. You should try and use only Zippo Lighter fluid which you can find at any cigar shop, most convenient stores and most supermarkets. As time wears on, you'll need to purchase flints and wicks but these take a while to wear down. If you're buying online, you may want to purchase these 2 items (flints and wicks), at the time you buy your lighter to save on shipping.
Boron is lighter than carbon and uranium.
IT changes into a new, usually lighter element.
