If you are an amateur you have no business tinkering with the steering. If you are a professional and you have to ask this question, you are an amateur. No insult is intended: my opinion is based on 35 years experience as an ASE certified master mechanic/shop owner working on Alfas ONLY. Take it to an Alfa shop.

no, they are just GREAT!! an Alfa can't be compared to any other cars and many magazines say it, they do it but one thing they all agree is that an Alfa has soul, is more than just a car, has something special, it puts a smile on ur face, makes u want to be in it, drive it! Makes You smile just for own it! They have something that others cars don't so when you think a car as a means to take you from A to B, a BMW or merc will do, Audi's n all others but if you want more, enjoy n feel something special then you go for an Alfa and no one can tell you what really is, you will be able to know and you will say the same cos an Alfa Romeo is something you feel!

As with any other car!... take off the protective grills, unscrew the speaker, unplug, and plug the new one, screw it on, and put the protective grill on again! ;)
Why would an Alfa Romeo 146 not start even though the battery is good?
There are a number of things to make a car not start. A battery being good doesnt effect the fact that you may have a fuel problem, or even an electrical problem. My only suggestion would be to take it to a trusted mechanic and have it looked over Being an alfa it may need repair work.

You have air in the fuel system you have to bleed it or spray starting fluid to force start ti and the system will eventually bleed it self after a minute. If this do not work then check your fuel pump strainer filter if is dirty and clogged then chances are your injectors are clogged as well, you will need to take it to a shop to get them clean, they will clean it by plugging a hose to your injection rail pipes on your manifold and high pressure the system to get that junk out of your injectors the burn it after the vehicle start...it is an alfa romeo and it is a good car but sometimes they get upset when we don take care of them XD

contrary to belief people and alfa themselves will tell you if you have lost all keys you will need new ecu and all that milarky but you don't..take out your boot lock ..and the..code box and you can get a new key coded to the box itself wont cost more than 200 and youl get 3 keys made i got my 156 and bravo hgt done by Steve guard autolocks in dublin awhile ago great service alfa told me it could not be done and gave me a price of 1000 for new ecu , ignition coil etc but he did it in a day and for a fraction of the price...
