If the cubic inch is the same the motors should swap out ok. You will have to change some parts but most Chevy motors will swap.
there are no grease points on these trucks. most of the new trucks have sealed steering and suspension components.
Most Chevy/GMC rearends will fit as long as they are the same series, 1500/2500/3500, but the most important thing is you MUST find one that has the same gear ratio as your front axle. Also look at Suburbans, similar chassis.
