This never happened in the actual storyline. The "cinema scene" Was a directors cut, and they took this out of the series and changed L's and Light's first meeting to later to the entrance exam ceremony.
The episode when L dies, 25
L thinks he is kira .... duuuhhh
they do not kiss they real picture is light kissing misa it was just redrawn by someone
Light first sees L during the entrance exams for To-Oh university, but they don't actually meet until they are both accepted to To-Oh as freshman representatives. Enrolled as Ryuga Hideki, L reveals his true identity to Light in order to gauge his reaction. In the manga, these events take place in Chapter 19 (volume 3). The anime equivalent is episode 9.
I think it's episode 17 at around 13 minutes, 17 seconds. It continues in episode 18, which is really funny too.

L did know it all along, but he witnesses proof in episode 25. In L's last few moments alive, Light peers over him with an evil smile on his face, and in doing so L confirms that Light isin fact, Kira.D: It's totally sad, I cried for hours.
L dies in episode 25, "Silence" Episode 25. The saddest episode besides 37. -B.
