Do Damon and Elena hook up?
well, Damon and Katherine kiss, but Damon thought that Katherine was Elena and that he was kissing Elena. Later Damon kisses Elena but she pushes him away and says that she will never love him, and that it will always be Stefan. But I don't know if they hook up in the future. hope this helps

John gives his life for Elena to live after Damon fed her his blood. John didnt want that life for Elena. He dies and there is a very emotional funeral. Now she has no parents left.

I can only answer for the TV series. The big shocker for everyone if you haven't seen was the ending of episode 8 of season 2 called "ROSE" Elena had been captured by two vampires named Rose and Trevor who wanted to take her to Elisha. At the end of the episode Elena had lost her vervain necklace she walks into her room where Damon is "SCENE" Cute PJ'S I'm tired Damon. Brought you this.(holding up vervain necklace) I thought that was gone? Thank you. (Elena reaches out to grab the necklace) Please give it back. Well I don't know exactly what will happen in s3, but I have guesses. Elena will turn into a vampire or wake up as one, Elena will show some flirtation to Damon, Elena and Stefan break up for real real.
Did Damon salvotore love rose?
Damon never said he loved her but deep down he really did they did sleep together sometimes. Damon had to kill Rose because she was bit by a werewolf and was becoming dangerous to people around her. Damon did cry when he had to kill Rose. Ian Somerhalder said this about the relationship between Damon and Rose and I quote "Damon was not in love with Rose and people thought that. If anything, Rose was a distraction that Damon created for himself in order to stay away from Elena." There is any chance at all that in the vampire diaries tv show Elena and Damon will fall in love?
According to all the new blogs and the TV Series Guide Book, Damon and Elena do have some romantic moments later in Series 2, but apparently that's not enough for Elena to break up with Stefan. In the current most recent season (season five) and a little before season four ends, the two end-up being together even after Elena's sire is cut-off from Damon. The two are in love as of right now, however, Elena does still think about Stefan but it's not clear at the moment if she's going to break up with Damon to go back out with Stefan, we'll have to wait to see later in season five (if anything happens about the relationship in this new season).
