Well, Orihime loves Ichigo so I guess it's a start. :) Ichigo probably does love orihime. in the future episodes, he went against head captain yamamoto's orders, and went to Hueco Muendo to save orihime. and ichi knew that he was going against the soul society. so, my guess is yes. After the fight with Ulquiorra, Orihime will seriously have to rethink her feelings for Ichigo. Her cries for help turned him into a monster, and the villain became more human... Then again he is quite the ladies man....and hes also charmed nel and ririn who i think are jealous of Orihime. Love each other ? Yes! Kissed? No but in the furture their lips will meet Orihime liking Ichigo is not a start of anything. Unrequited love happens and often results in the person in love growing out of it and finding requited love with someone else. Ichigo proved over and over that he does not understand Orihime and does not care about her beyond her physical well being. If after dozens of chapters after the love confession it moved nowhere and he left her behind in a place she did not belong, chances are it won't happen ever. So what if he went to HM to save her? He went to SS to save Rukia. Does that automatically mean that Ichigo is madly in love with Rukia? No, but he sure cares more about Rukia than he does about Orihime. ummm .... guys ..... actually don't know u but ..... let's put it in this way .... ( sorry to many fans out there of inoue/rukia , im not fond of them both ) the truth is ( don't get hurt about my words , ok , they're a little harsh ) don't u know how to observe ? don't u watch bleach episodes up to it's latest , and don't u read mangas ? oh c'mon ... u people just don't get it ... sure ichigo almost die saving rukia/inoue , but there's something when u watch they're latest ep. it's just that he can't use his powers if inoue would be put in harms way , and ishida might hava a soft spot for inoue , i guess . ichigo told him to protect inoue when his power gets to her with his own body and even ulquiorra said " is it bcoz the girl ? " and when inoue shouts " help me , kurosaki-kun " even he's incapacitated , or almost died , he hears her calling , he also said : I will protect her " just like sakai yuji said in shakugan no shana 2. even he became a monster it doesnt matter bcoz he really wants to protect someone who's important to her. ( sorry , i think what i said just sided to inoue , but i guess it's my point of view ) what about u ? _____________________________________________________________________ i think ichigo likes neither both of them .... sure he have soft spots for the two , and almost only to rukia bcoz they are always together , but look at some other things too .. look at hinata and naruto . they're just like ichigo and orihime , naruto and sakura= rukia and ichigo , they're love triangle is just like in naruto . sasuke and sakura=rukia and renji .. it's just that simple . don't u get it .... even though inoue and ichigo doesnt hang out with each other more often than that of rukia , they still share a very strong bond that led ichigo disobey his superiors orders in saving inoue , and almost getting himself killed ... they are just like hinata and naruto ( ohh , i love that couple ) but m not saying that ichigo like inoue ...... i just thing he doesnt like romantic stuff , that's all , and he treats the 2 just like a family ... just think about it man ... No. He actually just ha a strong will to protect others. _____________________________________________ If Ichigo showed any romantic feelings for Orihime THAT would've been a start. Orihime's feelings are Orihime's alone, that have nothing to do with IchiHime as a relationship. Relationship takes 2 people, not one. And Orihime's feelings have been known since the beginning of Bleach, and 400 chapters later there's been no progress. Ichigo showed no interest and neither does he know. And in HM Orihime developed a connection with another male. Also, there is Ishida who has canon romantic feelings for her. Yet you don't see me promoting IshiHime using that as an excuse. It's a little too late to use Orihime's "love" as an excuse for IchiHime. 1. It's not mutual. 2. It proved to be nothing more but pretty words. 3. UlquiHime. It might not have been love, but that bond sure beats any FLOL that didn't do anything productive for either Ichigo or Orihime. This question doesn't really have an answer does it? Everyone gets in an argument about which pairings they support and which they hate but it's pointless. To be honest I support all Orihime couples and even though I would like it if Ichigo and Orihime got together I know that if Kubo doesn't create it then it won't happen. It's just stupid everyone fighting over a stupid subject like pairings. It also doesn't matter how many facts you write down about how they will/will not get together because you just use the things that will bend the situation to your liking. No one will ever be sure if Ichiruki happens or Ichihime happens unless Kubo draws it in the manga. Also it will also be likely that there is no pairing in Bleach since it is a 'Shounen' manga/anime. (I'm also sorry if this has upset anyone but it's the truth ain't it? Sure there has been some flirting and blushing between Ichigo and Rukia and Ichigo and Orihime but even I can see (A total Ichihime fantard) that those pairings won't happen until Kubo draws it so we'll all just have to wait and see now won't we?) ________ It's called "Literary analysis". Saying that it's "stupid" to analyze a piece of manga is extremely disingenuous if you're the one taking part in this argument. Shounen does not equate to no romance and pairings. There are plenty of shounen with romance so this argument is nuller than null. Facts are not "bended", they are observed. And the fact remains that there are far more meaningful and mutual scenes between Ichigo and Rukia than there can ever be between Ichigo and Orihime. The most you ever get with Ichigo and Orihime is comic relief or Ichigo thinking about something else (Rukia even) while Orihime is still fawning over him rolling on the floor and looking completely stupid. Anyone with even a shred of reading comprehension should already notice that IchiHime as a relationship is poorly developed, scripted, and Orihime's love has been turned into something utterly ridiculous, which doesn't seem like Kubo even wants us to take it seriously. --- Maybe I worded it wrong, but that's just my opinion. I didn't say 'all' Shounen manga had no romance either I said it would be 'likely' that there wouldn't be any and I also agree with you on some parts. Ichigo and Rukia are very close but I don't view them as anything more than friends, they're probably best friends. I don't think you'll make me change my opinion on this though, you have yours and I have mine. I'm not trying to get into this world wide argument at all, actually. I just stated that the most likely outcome of the manga would be a non-romance ending. To be honest, I do think that Ichiruki is possible because it has a lot of supporters for the pairing but it's not my preferable choice if I had to choose between Ichihime and Ichiruki. I was put off the Ichiruki pairing to start with because most of it's shippers hate on anyone who has a different opinion to them, I don't see why others should be penalized because they have a different view on something. With all due respect, I can tell you're not like that, you're just putting your opinion forward as was I. I do expect to get a lot of people arguing with me because I put my opinion across but, to me, it seems the most logical answer. I do think it's wrong of you, however, to assume Kubo thinks that it's 'utterly ridiculous' that there may be a chance that Ichigo and Orihime could get together. One, you're not him and two, why would he even create the whole unrequited love if he felt that? Surely, If he did he wouldn't have put it in to begin with. You saying that makes me assume that you want people to argue with you but I could be wrong. Also, from your pen-name, you're a writer from FF.net, I've read your stuff and it's really good, I don't want this argument to escalate into all the other 'Ichiruki Ichihime' arguments, there are enough of them as it is. I was just responding to the question asked with my opinion, by all means the asker can choose whether to agree or disagree with it and yes, I did expect other people to have a go at me but in moderation. I respect your pairing choice and I hope you respect mine and thank you for not being like some of the Ichiruki fans out there who shove Ichiruki down your throat.
