Burns then fires Smithers as he feels he no longer needs him, since he has toughened up after his beating. Smother has to consider other jobs, one of them is distracting Barney during the midnight beer delivery at moes. Homer talks him out of this job and commits to getting him his old job back, the beer delivery then arrives but is raided by Barney.
