1. The Battle of Midway was successful in turning the tide of the war in the Pacific for the Japanese had lost most of their major aircraft carriers. The Japanese did not have the time or the resources to create more aircraft carriers.
The event in the Gospels that convinced the disciples that Jesus was the Son of God was the resurrection of Jesus after his crucifixion.
They used aircraft carriers to transport their fleet but other than a few 2 man submarines, the attack itself was purely an arial event. (Walter Lord's "Day of Infamy)

107 years ago today, on October 24, 1916, the U.S. Navy launched its first aircraft carrier, the USS Langley (CV-1), which marked a significant development in naval aviation. The ship was converted from a collier and served primarily as a testbed for launching and recovering aircraft. This event is considered a pivotal moment in military history, as it laid the groundwork for the future of naval warfare and the evolution of aircraft carriers.
No carrier was sunk during the attack at Peal Harbor. The three Pacific Fleet aircraft carriers were USS Enterprise, USS Lexington, and USS Saratoga. None of them were present during the event on December 7, 1941. Each had their own reason for their absence.
USN dive bombers caught the IJN carriers with their decks full of re-arming/re-fuelling strike aircraft (strike aircraft=torpedo/dive bombers). Had not that event occurred, the more combat experienced IJN carrier men would have more than likely located/sunk the USN carriers instead. It was, as explained by one author, a "Miracle at Midway."
