CPAP or Continuous Positive Air Pressure is a minimally invasive device which introduces air into a patients system via either a mask, nasal canula, or combination. The pressure measured in millimeters of water, is determined by the treating physician with input from the polysomnographer and/or respiratory therapist. It is used in treating patients with Apnea, most commonly sleep apnea to improve their outcome.
