he saw Brazil and North America
WE know some things. Others we do not.
he spent his life trying to explore new things and he was a mapmaker
He has been accused of many things, but being French is not one of them. He was in fact, Italian.
Amerigo Vespucci was known for being an Italian explorer, navigator, and cartographer. He is also known for having the continent of America named after him, due to his recognition of the "New World" as a separate landmass from Asia. Additionally, Vespucci's letters describing his voyages contributed to the popularization of the concept of a new continent.
He lied about finding North America and other things in his book, but a German map maker believed him and named North America after him.
The last certain voyage of Vespucci was led by Goncalo Coelhoin from 1501 to 1502. They sailed to Brazil. Vespucci, in one of his disputed letters, claimed that they sailed to a latitude of 42° South. However, no maps made after this voyage shows any land after 25° South. So, like many things about Vespucci, this is in dispute.
The earth was bigger than most people thought ,Columbus did not reach Asia he landed were no one has discovered.

Amerigo Vespucci was famous for his exploration of the New World, particularly the coast of South America, during the late 15th and early 16th centuries. He is credited with demonstrating that the lands encountered by Europeans were part of a separate continent, distinct from Asia. His name was used to label the Americas in honor of his contributions, thanks to the publication of letters that detailed his voyages and observations. Additionally, Vespucci's work in cartography and navigation significantly influenced the understanding of the geography of the New World.
Amerigo Vespucci claimed America and named it after him but because most countries are feminine, he named in America not Amerigo------------He did not claim America. He thought that the South American coast that he visited was a 'new world', in spite of the claim by Columbus (to his dying day) that it was part of Asia.Martin Waldseemüller in 1507, was the very first person to map this coast and name the new continent- America (as a Latinized and feminized version of Vespucci's first name).
The earth was bigger than most people thought ,Columbus did not reach Asia he landed were no one has discovered.
No one really knew about him. There was no mass communication like today and he pretty much was a failure and phony. He wrote a book about his travels and by the mid 1800's it had been proven he lied about what he did. He managed to get credit for things when no credit was due to him.
