The safe mode refers to the state of the computer where the spywares cannot take place and so you can work on the infected file without going in normal mode and can prevent your computer from crashing. The safe mode can be activated in most of the computers by pressing ctrl+ F11 key just after you restart your computer.
Reboot the computer; while it is rebooting, press the F8 key repeatedly and an option the start in Safe Mode will appear.
to get into safe mode, reboot your computer, after it starts to boot, hit the F8 key repeatedly. In most circumstances, this will give you the menu from which you can choose to go into safemode.
Start the computer in 'Safe Mode'. Press the F8 key during boot up continuously until you get the option to start in safe mode.
You can try running your computer in Safe Mode and scanning again. In safe mode most of the computer processes are not active, so the virus is inactive too, and it's detection is easier. It's used to activate a search or put the computer to 'sleep'. Pressing F3 on its own drops down a small window where you can type a word (or words) to search for. Once you enter the search string - successive presses of the F3 key will jump to the next occurrence. Pressing the Fn key + F3 together puts the computer into sleep mode.
You will need to do a system restore. Restart your computer in safe mode (reboot and press the F8 key continuously until you get the option to start in safe mode). When in safe mode, use system restore to restore your system to just before you installed that Service Pack.
Look in the AVG test results. Find the location of the infected files. Then boot into safe mode and delete them. To boot into safe mode tap the F8 key as your computer starts up and choose Safe Mode from the menu.
First, restart your computer, via the start menu. When your computer is booting up, before it reaches the Welcome screen, hold the F8 key. A menu will pop up, with all of the different modes on it. From there, you will be able to get into safe mode.
When you reboot your PC, continuously pressing the F8 key will allow you to start in safe mode.
