Out of adjustment (manual slack adjusters)
automatic slack adjusters inoperable
leaky grease/oil seals
worn/damaged linings
drums worn over limit
"a cam over situation"
overheated
brake can(s) inoperable
poor air supply
air leaks
excessive heat caused by using them too much brakes out of adjustment.
Worn brake pads, air bubbles in the brake lines, low fluid level in the reservoir. If going downhill it's better to downshift as opposed to riding the brakes. Even automatic transmissions can be manually downshifted to use the engine for breaking instead of heating up the brake pads. There's more to driving than just shoving that gearshift into drive and leaving it there no matter what.
It would be against the law for a motor manufacturer to fit a light which could cause the brakes to fail.
Sometimes things such as sand will get into your brakes and cause the squeaking noise. In other instances, it might something mechanical beginning to fail. Regardless of the cause, if the noise continues you should see your mechanic!
yes, its really risky because driving with bad brakes can probably cause a hydraulic failiure your brakes can fail and you dont want to know what happens so get your brakes checked
in older cars with 4 wheel drum brakes riding the brakes down a hill will heat up the drums causing the brakes to fail. another cause is brake lines failure another cause is leaking wheel cylinders shall i go on? The most common part that fails in a braking system is the Master Cylinder.
This grossly unsafe. If you have just the booster fail the brakes will still work but not well. If the brakes fail completely you could crash and die.
They can if the brakes are out of adjustment or have a mechanical problem.
There are none... The only true Fade to Black is Metallica's. Therefore, you fail.
Siphon it out. Do not drive or pump the brakes. Replace the brake fluid. This will cause the brakes to fail.
hinder, cease, decline, fail, fade
Your pads or discs are worn. The brakes will fail soon if not replaced.
