well first of all there are only 3 colonial regions, New england, Middle, and Southern. For the southern colonies they wanted money for the New England colonies it was dissent, religious freedom, and for the middle colonies it was oppurtunities. middle colonies-good soil , larce variety of land

new england colonies- lumber,ship building,good fishing

southern colonies- fertile soil to grow cash crops.
