elephants grieve over stillborn babies, other family members and even other elephants
indricothere is a rhinoceros, deinotherium is in a sub species of elephant called deinotheres
They survive by living in their herd/pod/group or what ever you would wish to call it but I call it a family, anyways the baby will live with it's mother and it's family drinking from its mother. If it is a baby male elephant though the mother will care for it until it can eat/drink on it's own then the family will kick it out because they do NOT tolerate male elephants and the male will live on it's own.
