JESUS said this Scripture in Matthew 12:25; Mark 3:25; and Luke 12:52. The Pharisees accused JESUS of being demon possessed which is impossible for GOD and the Child of GOD, because a demon will not share space with the Holy Spirit. The exegesis of the passage means that is the kingdom of darkness is not united, it shall fall. This translates well to any cooperation of anyone; division only weakens to the point of destruction.

The statement, "house divided against itself shall not stand", is a statement Jesus made to the Pharisees when they accused him of casting out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils, (Matthew 12.24,25)
