What famous massacre was AL Capone in?

Al Capone managed (occasionally by the skin of his teeth) to avoid any of the massacres that reduced the gangster population on a regular basis back in the days of the big gangs (during Prohibition, for the most part). His name is connected to the St. Valentines Day massacre, but only around the edges. It was likely Capone's idea, but he did not plan it, nor execute it - in fact he conveniently was in Florida the day it took place.
