Some of his battles ended with both sides claiming victory.

A few were called strategic victories and tactical defeats.

A few were called strategic defeats and tactical victories.

Unfortunately War and Military History is not a major league sport and of his 60 major battles he clearly lost 10 of them. In those that he lost, he was always the Underdog, always outnumbered and never out fought. His wins came when he had less players on the field.

The Duke of Wellington declared that Napoleon was the greatest General, yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever. Most Military Historians agree with Wellington.
