'idea of equal size divisions/expansion for equal temperature rises
OR ∆l / ∆θ constant OR reference to l against θ graph straight line
ignore 1 division = 1°C '
what this means is the liquid expands in proportion to how much it is heated. for example if the temperature is increased by two units then the liquid should rise for example by 3cm and when the temperature is increased by 4 units the liquid should rise by double so 6cm because the temperature has been doubled
