Only if you transfer an infected file to the un-infected computer is it possible, or if you have an open connection where the infected computer may send (without permission) code, or files -like SQL injectors-. One other way is if you have a connection where you're connected to a server through the other computer that lets the infected computer 'ping' (another way of sending code to comfirm connection status).

Has your computer become unstable or slow? Does your computer crash when you try to run a specific program or open a certain file? Do you see strange messages that a file or program cannot run. Viruses are malicious software (malware) in which their sole purpose is to replicate and infect non-infected computers. Their are many mediums to which a virus can infect a computer, most commonly through the Internet and email attachments. When viruses infect a computer, it attaches itself to a "host" file (hence the name virus because it acts like a real world virus). Next, it injects its code into the host file so that whenever that infected file is run, the virus executes first and then the actual file starts. The "payload" is the official term to the effects a computer virus has on a PC.
If your Whole Computer got infected, you HAVE to delete all files, music, pictures, EVERYTHING. Permanently.
