Meats would include beef, pork, poultry, lamb etc. Vegetables would be quite a wide variety such as potatoes, carrots, cabbage, beans, peas, turnips, cauliflowers and many others. They would eat all kinds of fish like cod, haddock, whiting, plaice, salmon and many more. All of these kinds of foods and many more would be eaten by children in Ireland.
