Meat was more expensive and therefore more prestigious and in the form of Game_(food) was common only on the tables of the nobility. The most prevalent butcher's meats were Porkand Chicken_(food) and other Domestic_fowl, while Beef, which required greater investment in land, was less common. usually in a medieval banquet it would depend on how rich you are. if you were poor you usually didn't eat white bread that was usually saved for the king. but the main course was made up of either lamb, venison, poultry, or fish. they had dessert and it was sometimes not always sweet things. it could have been poultry or fish that was cooked very delicately.
