Because their body is not built the same as a hamster. Their bodies are stout and compact, where as the hamster is much more limber and agile. The curvature of the guinea pig's spine does not allow them to bend the same direction as the hamster wheel and they can become caught in it or thrown from it. YOU can do whatever YOU want, but keep in mind YOUR HAMSTER may not like it, and it can cause YOUR HAMSTER to NOT TRUST YOU, the next time YOU go near the wheel while YOUR HAMSTER is on the wheel it will leave! Try to see things from your hamster's perspective! And remember: IT'S A PET, NOT A TOY! TOYS DON'T GET HURT AND FEEL PAIN, PETS DO!
just put a wheel in the cage and let the hamster choose and if you're putting it in the ball then if you want your hamster to be fit put him/her in for 30 mins in ball every other day
