put your goggles on
you should wear safety goggles when you are swimming and when you are riding a bike.
When inspecting Laser Safety Goggles, you should look for bleached or white spots on colored lenses. This is indicative of a laser hit and the goggles should be discarded. Also look for other signs of a laser hit, burn marks, etc., and for cracked lenses or side shields, loose or torn straps, deep scratches, etc. Finally confirm that the goggles are of an appropriate type for the light frequency being used, have an appropriate optical density, and are marked as complying with the appropriate laser safety eye wear standard for the country in which they are being used.
