Nevada is a landlocked state, meaning that no rivers within its borders flow directly to the ocean. Instead, the rivers in Nevada primarily drain into inland basins, such as the Great Basin, and do not reach the Pacific Ocean or any other ocean. The Colorado River, which forms part of Nevada's southern border, eventually flows to the Gulf of California, but it does not flow directly to the ocean from within Nevada.
