you can get aerodactyl once you get the national dex and beat the Pokemon league. just go mining once you have done those and you should come up with different fossils. One of them should be the aerodactyl fossil. I forget which one it was but i't's there

Yes, you can get a hold of this rare Pokemon, after you have obtained the "explorer kit" from Eterna City (in the house next to the Pokecentre) you can go underground and dig for spheres and you may also dig up fossils, shards or other items. After finding a the fossil for Aerodactyl, (old Ember) take it to Oreburgh City and go into the museum, talk to the man on the right behind the counter and give him your fossil, then go outside come back inside and talk to him, he will give you an Aerodactyl, or whatever Pokemon fossil you brought to him.
