Horses Require a diet of:
* grain (ask your vet or someone knowledable about horses to see what is best for your horse) * hay (in the winter) * grass every season except for winter (hay can be fed during these seasons too * minerals (good for the horses, they require minerals so it is important to have it for them, dont force them to eat them, they eat them when they need to) * salt block (have a salt block in a place where the horse can lick if he desires too, same as the minerals, do not force him to eat it.) * electrolytes (not mandatory but a good thing to have) Treats:
* Carrots (yum) * Apples (yum) * Molasses * oats

Horses are know for their appetites. THey are constantly eating whenever they get the chance. "Hungry as a horse" and "eat like a horse" made good similies for a person with a big appetite.
yes in France they unfortunately eat horses (and other countries too):( I would like to add that it would take well over a day to eat a whole horse considering a horse is so big that a human cannot eat the whole thing without his stomach going kaboom
