The function of the eyepiece is to allow us to observe the specimen in a microscope. It multiplies and adjusts the magnification of the objective lenses. Sometimes, it even corrects aberrations of the objective lens.
An ocular or eyepiece magnifies an object to allow for a closer look. They can be worn outside the eye, or be a piece inside a microscope.
A draw tube is one of two tubes that is in a monocular microscope. It is the tube that carries the eyepiece.
The body tube of a microscope separates the nose and eyepiece. It supports the eyepiece and allows the optics on the microscope to share a common axis.
The magnification, or power, at which a telescope is operating is a function of the focal length of the telescope's main (objective) lens (or primary mirror) and the focal length of the eyepiece employed.
