I would recommend shooting none of them. Instead go out and get yourself a shooting video game. One, it willl not be as expensive and as inhumane as killing an animal and it will be a toy you and your children can play together.

I don't know of a reason why a goose would not be edible unless you did not field dress it soon enough and the meat spoiled. I would be careful of any animal killed in the wild. Geese do suffer from illnesses and diseases and I'm not sure if that can be transmitted to humans if they are eaten.
