This geographic feature would be a huge mountain range called the Andes which extend all the way to the southern tip of South America.
It isn't; at least not in geographic terms. Central America is a region WITHIN North America. Central America could however, be grouped along with Mexico, the Caribbean and South America as part of a large cultural region known as Latin America.
Mexico is located in the geographic realm of North America, although it is often included in regions with Central America to its south.
