A backword is a reply, contradiction, or answer to someone, or a section of commentary at the end of a book.
A name that is spelled the same backward and forward is called a palindrome. Examples of palindromic names include "Anna" and "Bob." Palindromes can also apply to phrases, words, and numbers.
