Not sure what the motivation of your question is; however, no honest question deserves to be dismissed because of the appearance of absurdity.
It's quite hard to come up with a "benefit" strictly of the Holocaust activities of Germany. But, then again, it's difficult to separate the holocaust from the rest of Germany's activities. When the totality of circumstances is considered, there are some obvious benefits.
Probably the biggest benefit that came from the holocaust was that it cemented in the western world a general hatred for totalitarian systems of government. Prior to WWII, and until the extent of German activities were well known, the U.S. was quickly sliding toward socialism, and the presidency was quickly becoming a position of unlimited power.
After WWII, the transformation of America quickly came to a halt. Of course, this hatred of socialism brought about "McCarthyism"; however, the problems associated with McCarthyism paled in comparison to the likely affects of a socialist America.
Granted, the holocaust was a very dark time in the existence of mankind. Millions of innocent people died. While it's very risky to compare this to any possible "benefit", one thing is for sure: forgetting history causes it to repeat itself. In order to ensure that we give the souls of the innocent the honor they deserve, we must always remember what happened. In time, if we don't forget, and remember the evils of totalitarian, socialist governments, then eventually, the lives saved will be more numerous than the lives lost. __
The only good thing that came from the Holocaust. It showed us how a modern nation can utilize there technological expertise and bureaucratic infrastructures to enforce destructive policies ranging from social engineering to genocide. Which in turn taught us how to deal and rid the world of nations that are doing things such as attempting to instill fear in to the hearts of millions by eradicating the "inferior race"(The Jews) because of Germanys poor capability to win the war they went into prior to WW2. But where they really went wrong was electing someone who said they could fix things and create national unity, but on the other hand was arrested two times once for killing a man and the other for striking, then was later on diagnosed as mentally insane.
Holocaust victim usually refers to people who were killed in the Holocaust, so it is not clear who you are referring to: refugees from Nazi Germany? Holocaust survivors? Both groups? I imagine that the main library in Houston or the municipal archives would have a good idea.
