It is apart of the leg group.
The group of bones that support the legs form part of the appendicular skeleton. These bones include the femur, tibia and fibula.
The ilium, the ischium, and the pubis are all parts of your hip bones.
the spinal column section that forms part of the bony pelvis is called
coccyx
The pelvis is anatomically divided in to two part ...one upper broad part in which abdominal viscera lies form false pelvis... And lower well defined circular cavity which contains only pelvic visceras like uterua, urinary blader rectum is true pelvis
Pelvis is the name of the part but a combining form for it would be Pelv-ic. pelv means pelvis and -ic means pertaining to. all together it would mean pertaining to the pelvis.
The spinal column meets the pelvis at the sacroiliac joints. These joints are at the connection between the sacrum (part of the spine) and the ilium (part of the pelvis). They play a role in weight transfer from the upper body to the lower body.
The renal pelvis (middle part of the kidney) is the main cavity leading into the ureter, which drains away urine. There is only one renal pelvis for each kidney. The renal pelvis itself is shaped by projections into it called major calyces. The cavities created by these projections are still part of, and in continuity with, the renal pelvis. The largest bone in the human pelvis is the ilium, which is part of the hip bone. Together with the ischium and pubis bones, the ilium forms the pelvis.
The renal pelvis and renal calculi are not the same. The renal pelvis is a normal part of the body. Renal calculi are kidney stones and are not normal.
The "pins" are actually a part of a cow's pelvis. The term "hooks and pins" refer to the parts of a cow's pelvis that can be felt when judging a cow's body condition. The hooks are the part of the pelvis that are above the flank or more towards the ribs, and the pins are the part of the pelvis that are on either side of the tail. The thurl is the part in between the hook bone and the pin bone. See the related link below for a labelled diagram.
