There are laws, guidelines and principles for living our lives all through The Bible, covering anything one might encounter in life. The primary one, however, is found at Matthew 6:33, where it tells us to always seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness before we do ANYthing else (Ecclesiastes 7:12; Luke 12:15-21; John 4:34). Doing things God's way, besides being obedient to our creator(Micah 6:8), will help minimize the major problems in life, eliminating many, allowing the joy of a clean conscience. Just a few of the guidelines in the Bible are:
*Show love in all things (1 John 4:8; 1 Corinthians 16:14; Ephesians 5:1-2; 1 Corinthians 13:4;1 Peter 4:8; Romans 13:10)
*Treat people the way you'd like to be treated (Matthew 7:12)(Luke 6:31)
*Be trustworthy and mean what you say (Matthew 5:37).
*Don't lie (Ephesians 4:25; 1 Timothy 1:10; Revelation 21:8; John 8:44, Exodus 20:16)
*Don't steal (Ephesians 4:28)(Exodus 20:15+17)
*Settle disputes quickly (Ephesians 4:26-27), don't hold grudges
*Be kind and freely forgive others (Ephesians 4:29, 31+32)
*Be careful who you choose as friends in the first place(1 Corinthians 15:33;Proverbs 13:20; Psalms 11:5; 2 Corinthians 6:15-18)
*Obey the laws of the land (1 Peter 2:13-17; Romans 13:1-7)unless they conflict with God's laws(Acts 4:19+20/Acts 5:28+29; John 14:15; Daniel 3:18)
*Be a good employee at work to please God (1 Corinthians 10:31; Ephesians 6:5-8)
Because it has most of the answers on how to live your life as a christian.
Christians do use the bible as a reference for life.
Sacred writings such as the Bible teach Christians about the nature of God, the teachings of Jesus Christ, the importance of love, forgiveness, compassion, and service to others, as well as guidance on moral and ethical living. Christians also find comfort, inspiration, and guidance for navigating life's challenges through these sacred texts.
Yes Christians believe in life after death. The Bible (God's word) teaches that.
Christians believe this.
The Bible
The bible contains the guidance provided by God for true christians. If this is surprising... just acquire a bible... and look it up yourself... it's written, why christians should "follow God's word". It's basically because God calls on christians to do so...
Suffice it to say that for all Christians, the Bible represents the 'Word of God' given to mankind for instruction, edification, revelation, and a drawing closer to their Creator by living the proper way of life as He designed for all.
Christianity. The Bible is the 'handbook' for Christians.
Christians believe the bible is gods word. the old testament is the background -before Jesus came (setting the scene) the new testament is when Jesus came and his life.
The holy book, the Bible, serves as a guide for Christians, providing moral and spiritual teachings that shape their beliefs and behaviors. It offers comfort, wisdom, and guidance in times of joy, struggle, and decision-making. Many Christians strive to live out the values and principles taught in the Bible through their actions and interactions with others.
No it isn't, living water is everlasting life but holy spirit is guidance from God!
