After the Battle of Britain, the Allies (and the Axis powers and the rest of the world, for that matter) learned that Hitler's army was not invincible, after all. The Luftwaffe was never again strong enough to invade Britain (mainly due to the low-efficiency aircraft engines of the day, and for lack of resources), so the Royal Airforce was given the chance to rebuild itself, and Britain the chance to rebuild its cities. The Battle of Britain happened VERY early on in the War, however (summer, 1940), so really anything that happened from September 1940 onward can be considered what happened after the B.o.B.
