A physicist's answer. Archimedes principle: It would displace either it's volume of Mercury (if the specific gravity (SG) of mercury is less than that of gold...which I think it is and there were enough mercury for the gold to completely submerge the gold, i.e it sinks to the bottom) OR it would displace it's weight of mercury (assuming the SG of mercury is greater than that of gold...which I doubt, again assuming sufficient mercury in the container, i.e. it floats).
Also, amalgamation of the gold and mercury will take place over time.
I'm not sure what voltaic phenomenon might occur.
it does conduct electricity well and is a transition metal and when you put it in water it does nothing
Also, molten gold dropped in water would simply solidify.
It becomes wet..
Gold doesn't react with water.
It would get wet. Very little else.
nothing
there will be a massive explosion
Is this question for real
If it is pure water, it doesn't change.
Energy dissipation in wet paper is very low and hence Save less sound, in fact no sound.
Phenolphtalein is colorless at pH=7.
Yes you do get dipped in holy water
24karot gold layered. Its fake. (dipped in gold)
The reason the white gold is starting to turn yellow is probably because the jewelry is made of yellow gold but was dipped in white gold. You can fix this by having it re-dipped.
it means that its not solid gold its plated or dipped in gold
usually means gold dipped
It will turn into a mime.
The yellow gold dipped with Rhodium plated it is not white gold ... It is alloys of yellow gold with Rhodium plated... Only "Pure Solid White Gold formula" it is the real white gold inside and outside white; Life time guaranties!
Unequal volumes of water will be displaced. The water test only shows the volume of something, not the mass.
It can be Gold or Silver plated yes but will not increase the value
18 KGL means it is base metal layered in 18K gold - or dipped in gold. It is NOT solid gold.

Nothing. Gold is a noble metal- it is not displaced by iron.
