They start to sputter, stall and stop running.
your engine quits, starved of fuel .
Very hard to say. But, one of the ways is to keep trying to start the engine and it will not fire, and you continue to crank the engine. Fuel pumped into the intake will pass thru the rings and into the engine oil. But, to empty the fuel tank???
Petrol in a diesel engine will destroy the engine.
fuel flow will get stopped then engine get off
Empty your tank out, drain the fuel lines, as the gasoline will damage your diesel engine.
You will destroy a diesel engine if you run gasoline in it. Do not even start the engine. You will have to drain the fuel tank, and all fuel lines.
First is it getting gas? Disconnect the fuel line and hold ity over an empty can, have someone crank the engine a few times. If you get fuel in the can then you move towards the engine to solve the problem. If you don't get fuel, make sure your filter isn't clogged. If that isn't the problem then either your tank is empty or your fuel pump is shot.
The engine will not run.
If your 2005 Nissan Frontier has a full tank but the fuel indicator shows empty and the service engine light is on, you may need the computer or the "brain" reset or replaced. You can take the truck to a garage or to the Nissan dealer to have this done.
Poured on the outside - no. Poured in the gas tank - depends on how much fuel you had inside. Almost empty - odds are the engine won't run. Mostly fuel - it'll be fine.
It has a " check gage " light if the fuel gauge is at or near empty , the engine coolant temperature is high , or the engine oil pressure is low
Also indicates low fuel. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ engine coolant temperature is high engine oil pressure is low and as mentioned above fuel level is near empty (Helpfull)
