I tried Coffee with Mentos, the Coffee becomes a little minty. No reactions similar to Coke and Mentos, but personally I didn't like the after taste of the combination.

∙ 11y agoMentos candies dropped into carbonated soda (diet or regular) can rapidly and violently release the carbon dioxide gas that is stored in the soda as "fizz." This typically forms a geyser of foaming liquid pushed high up out of the bottle.
The reason Mentos candies do this is that they have a comparatively "rough" surface. The thousands of pits on the candies create nucleation points for the compressed carbon dioxide dissolved in the soda. The effect is as if the bottle was rapidly shaken: as much as 80% of the dissolved gas leaves the liquid and expands, pushing the liquid up and out of the bottle as well.
