I don't exactly know, but I think the tissue paper will do something?
it will repel.
I have accidentally bought "rub-ons" before thinking they were just a simple peel and stick sticker. So I tried to research exactly what to do with them. I found a link to a video on youtube: http://www.everything-about-scrapbooking.com/how-to-apply-rub-ons.html This video explains that you should cut around whatever the phrase or image is that you want to "rub on." Once you've done that, you simply place the rub-on face down on the paper where you want it. Then, you use the wooden stick that usually comes with rub-ons that looks like a popsicle stick and rub back and forth over the image. You can see that the image has transfered to the paper (as illustrated in above video). There you go, you're done. To me, if it comes in a sticker I prefer that, simply because it seems easier. Peel off, stick on surface. However, the ladies in the youtube video really seemed to like rub-ons.
you rub a piece of sand paper on it
rub the paper on the acetate (only in one direction)

Rub it with a rough rag and Goof Off, it will soften enough to be peeled off.
Apparently yes, I know I know heart breaking. Try it yourself. Get tin foil rub the lipstick/lip balm to the shiny side of the foil then rub it in with a piece of tissue or paper towel for 10 seconds. If the tissue is black, then it's positive.
Rub it with some thinners on a rag.
If you rub an acetate rod with a cloth electrons are transferred from the rod to the cloth and the rod becomes negatively charged and the cloth becomes positively charged.
use a rubber (a very strong one!) and rub and rub and rub..........
The paper becomes semi-transparent.
