Some areas of land are not part of any major biome. These areas include mountains ranges and land that is covered with thick sheets of ice.
Well, all the world's oceans are made of water. The Arctic Ocean may be covered with ice for a few months at a time. But only a few m thick at most.
We cannot be certain (yet!) but current theories speculate that the moon Europa may be covered with ice, and that beneath the ice there might be oceans. There do appear to be ridges in the surface, which might be caused by cracks forming in the ice and then the liquid water beneath freezing as the ice sheets come back together.
Most areas that were covered with thick continental ice sheets are still rising in elevation, due to what's called 'rebound'.
