What happends to Michael Glass in the Morganville Vampires Series?

Oliver(vampire who works at coffee shop- eve's boss) tried to turn him into a vampire and failed so he turned into a ghost kept alive by the glass house. He can't leave the house and only takes form at night time. In the day he's a wandering energy but can be felt by other people( his presence) like a ghost i guess. I'm not sure which book it is but Amelie (queen vamp) turns him into a vampire so he can then leave the house and take form in day time although he can't walk in the sun. In the book lord of misrule Bishop (Daddy to Amelie vamp) bites him and takes control of him because of the blood thing. That means he has to follow Bishops rules, Amelie frees him of that though in Carpe Corpus so he doesn't have to follow Bishops orders, that's as far as i got in the book... sorry
