The Battle of Britain was an air war. The Luftwaffe came over the English Channel from France to shoot down Royal Army Air Force planes, shoot up and bomb RAF airfields, bomb manufacturing plants and to bomb targeted sites.
There were dozens of sorties and dog fight sessions. Goering of the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) thought he could wipe out the RAF. Little did he know the Brits were turning out over 400 planes a month. He nearly did it too but he gave up sending out his men and planes when his force was basically wiped out. He had to keep the rest of his planes for an operation against the Russians.
The battle was fought from 10 July - 31 October 1940. There was one thing that really won the battle for the Brits. They had decent RADAR and the Germans were too stupid to bomb the RADAR sites to completely destroy the RADAR towers and buildings where the women were guiding the flyers on the radio. The Brits knew where there enemy was and when they were coming. The Luftwaffe could not figure out how they were managing this. It was to their regret.
OOps! the Royal Air Force was never the Royal ARMY Air Force - trust me, I was once an RAF pilot.
Rowan's Battle of Britain was created in 2000.
The Battle of Britain happened mainly in the skies over south-east England and the English Channel.

The Battle of Britain happened AFTER most of Europe had already been conquered by Germany.
They are NOT linked in any way. The Battle of Britain was over and done with before Lend-Lease happened.
The Battle of Britain was the air battle in 1940 between Nazi Germany and Britain, in which Germany was hoping to knock out the (British) Royal Air Force so that Nazi Germany could invade Britain by sea. The RAF and Britain in general succeeded in not being knocked out, so Hitler turned his attention eastwards.
After the Battle of Britain, the Allies (and the Axis powers and the rest of the world, for that matter) learned that Hitler's army was not invincible, after all. The Luftwaffe was never again strong enough to invade Britain (mainly due to the low-efficiency aircraft engines of the day, and for lack of resources), so the Royal Airforce was given the chance to rebuild itself, and Britain the chance to rebuild its cities. The Battle of Britain happened VERY early on in the War, however (summer, 1940), so really anything that happened from September 1940 onward can be considered what happened after the B.o.B.
