What happened in 1984 when Israel was granted as a country?

Israel became an independent state on May 14, 1948 with

Jerusalem as its capital. The following day Egypt, Syria, Lebanon,

Iraq and Jordan declared war on Israel. Despite being heavily

outnumbered and outgunned, Israel won the war in 1949.

Jordan occupied east Jerusalem until 1967 when the city was

reunified, and expelled all Jews, banning them from visiting Jewish

holy sites. Jordan also occupied Judea and Samaria, Egypt occupied

the Gaza Strip and Syria occupied the Golan Heights from 1949 - 1967.
