What happened in Chino California in August 2009?

On 8 August 2009, a riot broke out at Chino Institution for Men (CIM), the California State penetentiary at Chino, California. Between 175 and 250 inmates were injured, 50-55 were taken to local area hospitals. (exact figures are difficult to obtain) No reason for the riots have been published as yet, beyond "racial tensions," and this is feasible as much of the fighting was between black and Hispanic inmates.
