In the first book (Glass Houses) Claire Danvers starts college in a place called Morganville which is full of vampires who yearn for blood. Claire nearly gets killed by Monica Morrel and her sidekicks, Gina and Jennifer, Claire then residents in the Glass House with the 18-year-old owner Michael Glass and the other residents in the house - Shane Collins and Eve Rosser - both 18. Then Shane trades 2 sessions (bites) from the vampire Brandon in exchange for all the vamps and Monica and her gang to leave Claire alone. Clairs then tries to find the book that the vampires want to trade for Shanes deal to be called off and Monica to leave Claire alone. In the middle of the book Shane and Claire start kissing. And the book ends with Shanes dad putting a large knife through Michael.
In book 2 (Dead girls dance) you find out that Michael is alive because he turns into a ghost. Eve and Michael start dating and so do Shane and Claire. Brandon gets staked through the heart by Shanes dad, Claire saves Monicas life by rescuing her from the flames who were started by Shanes dad. In the middle if the book Michael turns into a vampire of his own free will by Amelie and the bookends with Claire swearing her life to Oliver, a vamp.
